Portrait in Type Reflection - Thiago A
The next step in creating art in Adobe Illustrator is using type to create an illustration. My Portrait is based on one of my favorite artists, Tyler the Creator, and it took about 2 and a half days to complete. I feel like this project was very challenging and could easily be improved. One piece of criticism I would give to myself would be to improve the lips. As humans, We can recognize facial flaws in under a second, and one of these flaws is the mouth. I feel like I could improve it by either shading the face in more places (which would have made my project take longer) or lessening the amount of type used to lighten the lips. Another feature I would like to improve is the eyes and eyebrows, I believe the eyes are pretty plain and don't really offer much other than a semi-circle, and the eyebrows are just repetitive.
